🔥 Preheat
Preheat the oven to 400°F. If your classroom doesn’t have full-sized appliances, a large countertop toaster oven works perfectly — it’s compact, easy to use, and still cooks everything just right!
🥯 Prep the bagel
Split your bagel in half (use a bagel slicer if it’s not already separated). Pour the pizza sauce into a small bowl to make it more accessible to scoop for students. Spoon some pizza sauce onto each bagel half and spread evenly with the back of the spoon. Optional: Add a few pepperoni slices on top of the sauce.

🧀 Creating the mummy
Shred a string cheese stick and lay the pieces crisscross across the bagel like mummy bandages until a majority of the bagel is covered. Add two olive slices next to each other towards the top to create the spooky eyes.
⏲️ Bake the bagels
Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown. Cooking time may vary depending on your oven or toaster oven and how many bagels you bake at once.
🍽️ Let cool & eat!
Use an oven mitt & spatula to carefully remove the bagels (they’ll be hot!) Serve and enjoy!
