Functional reading task cards with community signs vocabulary. Promotes independence for life skills special education or English language learners, and a great age appropriate & engaging activity for independent work stations or centers. Community access & functional reading for special education students.
Unlike most community signs resources, this resource is geared towards students that may not drive, and instead travel around the community by walking, using public transportation, carpooling… and so on. A majority of signs included in this resource are road signs, but only those that would be important for non-drivers to know for safety and getting to and from places.
This comes with:
- 60 task cards
- 4 sets of labels (with visual instructions) to put on the inside of a task box
- Easy prep – just print, laminate, and cut!
- Student will use a dry erase marker to circle the picture that matches the word. Can use paper clip to indicate answer as an alternative!
